Sleeping, Swimming, Playing

This was the day of the Orem Summerfest. I bought Kylee some headbands (which of course dad HATES), but I thought she looked cute. However, as sweet and innocent as she looks...her new talent is tossing her binky out of the stroller when I'm not looking, then falling asleep! I had to buy new binky's this week. Another exciting event this weeks is that Kylee got her first tooth! And I started feeding her mooshed up bananas and she thinks they are delicious.

Last weekend we went to Moab. Kylee had a lot of fun lounging in the pool, getting some sun!

Now that Kylee can roll over both directions (which she learned in Moab), she is not content to sit on laps for very long anymore. She thinks she needs to move somewhere. So I got her a doorway-bouncer, and she loves it! She's not so good at the bouncing, but she'll turn herself in a few circles then pick up her legs and swing back the other way.

Kylee's Day at the Lake

Yesterday we took Kylee to Palisade. I've been trying to convince Andy to go there for years, and he never would. Now he realizes it's fun and wants to go camp for a few days.

Any child who wants to go in a canoe has to wear a floatation device of some sort. Kylee was't too happy about that.

She finally reconciled herself to wearing the arm floaties. When we got to the middle of the lake she realized they make pretty nice pillows, and she took a short nap.

She wasn't a big fan of the ice cold water!!

After our trip in the canoe, Kylee decided it was time to put dad down for a nap. She promised to lay by him on the blanket until he fell asleep.

She was a bit perplexed about why dad slept for so long.

Eventually Andy woke up and decided to practice his Gondolier skills.

On the way home we visited great-grandma Blanche in Mt. Pleasant. Kylee jabbered the whole time, and grandma thought she was telling her about heaven.

This is Kylee's new friend Kenny. She met him at great-grandma's nursing home. He was a really friendly guy!
