In the Box

The other day I went to an employee sale after work, and I brought home my stuff in a box. Kylee loves it! She thinks it's her own personal toy. She walks around telling me, "My box! My box!" When Branson comes over, they both play in the box. When he's not over, she plays in it by herself. I think for Christmas, instead of buying toys, she might just get a fridge box.

P.S. If you turn your speakers up REALLY loud, and listen really closely, you can hear her snoring in the box after she shouts "night, night!" She does the "honk shew, honk shew" sound that Andy taught her when fake sleeping, except she doesn't get the "honk" part, so it's just "shew, shew, shew, shew".

More Flowers

For those who check our blog regularly, you already know that I like to post pictures of pretty scenery. Here are a few from the Thanksgiving Point gardens yesterday. I think they are so pretty! Kacey and I were thinking how fun it would be to go there on a day when it's not too crowded, and not too hot, and just sit on a bench and read a book.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens

On Tuesdays in August, Thanksgiving Point did $2 admission to each of their attractions. Yesterday Kacey and I took our kids and went up to the gardens. You can get into the regular garden and the children's garden for just $2 per adult, and kids under 3 are free. Kylee had a lot of fun chasing Branson around. The funniest thing was once, she was running "really fast" and she tripped and fell flat on her face. When she got up, she started saying "Ashes, Ashes, Down!", and fell down again. I think she was embarrassed, and wanted us to think she had done it on purpose! At 1 1/2 years old! What a crazy kid.

Kylee LOVES "fissies". She probably could have watched them all afternoon.

They had a lot of fun climbing around in the children's garden. If I had a lot of kids, I would totally buy a membership. That place is HUGE! Kids could play there all day.

Boating

Last Saturday we went boating at Utah Lake. Andy couldn't get in the water, because he still had his Central Line, so he just drove us all around. I don't have any pictures of me on the tube. I'll have to get some from the others who went with us. This is Rachel and Dustin preparing for their leisurely tube ride.
Okay, so maybe it wasn't as leisurely as it first appeared.

And there they go, folks. It's basically a contest of who can hang on the longest at 20-30 miles per hour. It's so fun! We're going again on Saturday, so I'll have more fun pictures. Todd and Tiff are coming with us...so Tiff...if you're looking at this blog before we go...don't you dare chicken out now! Andy is traumatized because he got his Central Line out on Monday, with the purpose of going boating on Saturday. Unfortunately, the angio doctor who did it said he can't get the incision wet (he had to get a permanent port put in) for 10-14 days, and no high-impact water sports for at least two months. So he'll be watching and driving again. Poor guy! We're planning a trip to Lake Powell in the end of October though, for the sole purpose of finally taking Andy boating.

Making Cookies

This afternoon Rachel and I decided to make some cookies, and try out Karen's new convection oven (which is really cool, by the way). Kylee really wanted to "help" so we got her a chair and let her stand up by the counter. If you zoom into the first picture, you can see how well she "helps". She was poking her fingers into the cookies and picking out the chocolate chips to eat. And yes, for those of you who are keeping track for my worst mom of the year status...I DID let her eat the cookie dough, and it DID have raw eggs in it!

Kylee's Professional Bike Wash

The other day, Andy decided to wash his bike, and Kylee wanted to help, so he put her to work washing all of the bikes she shares with her cousins. It was cute, and she was soaked!

Cute Kylee

The other day Kylee walked around in my high heels, Andy's hat, and with her toothbrush. She's all set!
Great-grandma Timmins came to visit for my dad's birthday. Kylee seemd to like her right away. Maybe it's just something about grandmas. Babies can tell!

Last week Kylee had a fever, and she felt really bad. She kept wanting to cuddle, and then I would put her in her crib for a nap, and she would wake up and cry. Finally, she got her pillow and blankie and conked out on Andy (who was also sleeping). They took a nap together on the couch for awhile, and then Andy woke up and made me move her because he was boiling to death. I laid her on the couch near him, and she slept for a long time. I think she just felt better to be by her daddy.

Crazy Kid!!

So for some reason, Kylee LOVES baths. If you even say the word, she immediately drops everything to run in there and find her bubbles. We've begun spelling B-A-T-H instead of actually saying it, because she gets really upset if you say the word and then don't follow through on your "promise" immediately. The other day, I accidentally said the word. She went running in there, and I still had to gather up her jammies, diaper, etc. Suddenly, I heard a big crash. I went running in, and there she was, sitting in the tub fully clothed, including shoes, saying "bubbles! bubbles!" I think she must have fallen in, because she usually tries to get in on her own, and then tells me "hep! hep!" (translation, for those of you who don't speak baby: "help! help!"), because she can't do it. Apparently in a frenzy of real excitement though, she did manage to boost herself over the edge.

Here's a Preview...

For those of you who live out of state or don't see us often...here is a preview of what's to come. Andy is still not comfortable with the idea of taking a bald picture, so I can't post one yet. However, these are some kind of gross pictures of his hair. We had a really fun couple of days when one tiny pinch could get you a good 100 or more hairs. EEEWW!

Sonic the Hedgehog

Kylee's hair is still having trouble growing on the sides. The back is long, and the front is long, but the sides are really short. It's pretty fun to give her mohawks in the bath tub. Andy thinks she looks like Sonic.
