Visiting Dad

Here is proof to everyone that Andy is doing really well. He was so happy to have some home-cooked food (even though it had to be microwaved). When you think about it, there are a surprising number of foods that the microwave doesn't ruin.

Part of the 8th floor is under construction, so they let everyone write/color on the temporary wall. Andy helped Kylee draw the green heart and write her name, but she did all the rest by herself. I really think she will be famous someday. She calls this "Dad's Tumor".

Here she is showing her pride in her beautiful drawing. I think she might have gotten more marker on her jacket, skirt, hands and neck than she actually got on the wall, but at least they are dry-erase! It comes right off!

Kylee wanted to pretend she was the patient, so she could be hand-fed and taken care of like dad is. Okay...so maybe he's not hand-fed, but they do take really good care of him. The nurses are really nice.

Here Andy is with his best friend "Drip". Drip is even better than a pet dog. He goes everywhere with Andy. He goes on walks, visits the restroom, and even stays right by his side while he eats and sleeps. He's not much of a talker, but he loves to sit very still and quiet and watch movies or t.v. AND, he even beeps when he needs to be taken care of. There is no unknown or guessing with Drip. He's the best!!

While all my cousins and family were in town, we went sledding at rock canyon. My tailbone is still healing, so I only went down on my knees. Connie took Kylee though, and she loved it!
Kylee and cousin Matthew didn't think the funeral was all that exciting. Or maybe it was just too early in the morning!

Family Reunion & Pedicures

On the day after Christmas, my grandpa died. He was pretty old (91), and ready to go, so it wasn't horribly sad. What is sad is that funerals are what finally cause family reunions. We had all our family here, including some cousins we haven't seen in 15 years. It was a blast!
One day all the girls decided to give ourselves pedicures. We all crowded into my mom's bathroom to soak our feet in her jaccuzzi tub, then painted our nails.

Yes, even Kylee joined the fun. (Those are her baby feet on the right, if you can't tell!)
