For Andy's birthday, I got him his own pair of mini-scriptures, because he's been taking mine to church for the last few years. He already knew what he was getting, because I've learned that I should NEVER buy him something without asking if he wants it first. When he was headed off to school that night, I said, "Do you want me to wrap your present, or just give it to you?" He said, "I don't care." Kylee said, "I wap Daddy present! I do it! I do it!" So, I let her "wap" it. She chose some paper....
...then I handed her pieces of tape to put on. She got it all folded up, then said, "I need some tape." She would put it on in any random place, then let go, thinking her folded up paper would hold. It kept coming open. Finally, about 10 pieces of tape later, we got this:
Isn't it beautiful? She even chose out the bow to match.
She was so proud of herself!
When we were at the store the other week, we decided it was time to get Kylee some sunglasses for the year. We picked out these "lellow" ones, and she loves them.
For her birdthday, Grandma KD got Kylee a really pretty dress. I was putting it on her for church, and Andy said, "She can't wear that to church! It's too fancy!" I said, "You don't know what you're talking about. She looks like a princess." When we got to church, Kylee's best friend Audrey had on the exact same dress! It was so cute, we had to take a photo on the way home. Whenever Kylee wants to look at this photo she says, "I want to see the princesses, mommy."
