Our Day at the Zoo

Yesterday Kylee and I went to the Hogle Zoo with Kacey & Branson, Nikki & Conner, Crista, Rachel, Abby and Mia. It was hotter than heck outside, and Kylee didn't really get the point and spent most of her time chewing on her sippy cup...but it was fun! In this picture, I was trying to get Conner and Kylee to look at me, but they were too busy staring at the giraffe directly above their heads. I thought he might spit on them. (See photo of giraffe about 4 photos down...it got out of order somehow!)

Standing in line to go on the train...

Kylee got a little hungry and thought she needed a snack. The train conductor girl was not her best friend when she snatched her ticket away.

And here we all are, except Crista, who took the photo. It was a fun day!

(The picture below is the giraffe that got so much attention from Conner and Kylee)

Growing Up

One of these days when I'm not so lazy I will add more pictures. Kylee now has 3 teeth, all on the bottom. The third one grew today. We knew it was coming when she woke up crying at 1am for the first time in months. Poor girl! She tries so hard to be good all the time! She also eats real food, and thinks she is big enough to hold the spoon by herself. She learned how to get up the stair from our living room onto our tile after many hours of trying/frustration, during which mean old mom (that would be me) video taped instead of helping. About 2 days after learning to crawl, she decided that she should now stand up. She uses anything and everything she can get her hands on to pull herself up to a standing position. I bought her a pair of tennis shoes to wear for balance. She's growing up too fast! I have pictures of the eating, the standing, the teeth and the shoes...I just never put them on here! So...vote on the latest poll and I'll put up more pictures this weekend!

Update on Crawling

For everyone who voted "Any Minute Now", it appears that you were right. If you put her toys all the way across the room, she may be slow, but she will get there. After I stopped this movie she got back up, went over the baby wipes, and proceeded to spit-up all over my purse!

Learning to Crawl

We have a friendly bet going as to when Kylee will crawl. Karen, Kacey, Crista, Rachel and I are on one side (all the women), and Andy is a loner on the other side. After watching this video, please vote!! (The voting section is on the upper right side of the screen).

Laundry Day

The other day I folded all of our laundry in the living room, while Kylee played with her toys.

When I left for a few minutes to go eat breakfast, I left her 5-6 feet away, happily enjoying her farm animal toy. After a few minutes, I thought she was being too quiet, so I went to look.

I figured I might as well leave her there and let her have some fun. I came back again a few minutes later and she had picked out some favorites.

She says, "Hey dad! I'm ready to go biking with you now! I can even wear your green jersey!"
