Kylee Paints her Toenails

One day, Kylee was playing in my bathroom, when all of a sudden I heard her say, "Look Mommy! I do my toes!" I jumped up to look, and sure enough, she had found some fingernail polish, got it unscrewed, and painted her toenails. Oops! I of course told her it looked beautiful, and so then she insisted on painting mine too. I didn't take a picture of mine, even though she did almost as good of a job as she did on her own.

Kid gets an Elmo Bed!!

Ever since Kid turned two a couple of weeks ago, Andy has been wanting to get her a new bed. We found a really cool Elmo bedroom set online, but they were all sold out at all the stores. We finally settled on just ordering her an Elmo bed. (She LOVES Elmo). It came on Friday, so Andy took her down to pick it up, and they put it together. He emailed me a photo at work of her taking a nap in her brand new bed. We had to re-arrange her furniture that evening, because I was not fond of her bed being so near an outlet and phone jack, but she really seems to like it. It's kind of sad that my baby is a big girl now!!

Armpits

Kid has recently become obsessed with her "ham-pits". She goes and gets mine and Andy's deoderant, and pretends to put it on. She then helps us put it on ourselves. Needless to say, our family has the best smelling arms, elbows, and necks of any family around!! I don't even know where she learned this. Seeing as how I'm not the one staying home with her each day...I blame Andy!! On a brighter note, this week he taught her what "eyebrows" are, so she now points out that everyone we know has "TWO eyebrows, mommy!"

More Play-Dough Creations

The other day while Andy was making dinner, I decided to let Kylee play with her play-dough. Grandma Dianne (from my work), had given her a play-dough set that came with animal parts, and she really wanted to try it.

First, she made an elephant. Andy's non-imaginitave mind doesn't think it looks anything like an elephant. Maybe more like a gira-phant.

When I tried to show her what a giraffe should look like, she said, "Wow! Mommy make a Lellow cow!"

Then she made her own "Cow".

Time-Out Corner

Like most kids, Kylee has to go to time-out when she is bad. We then set a timer on the microwave, and she isn't allowed to come out until she hears it beep. For the duration of the time out, she has to put her nose in the corner. She usually stands there wagging her bum back and forth, and looking so cute that Andy and I laugh our heads off (silently, so she won't know) the whole time.

After she comes out, she is always so happy, and tells me, "So-wee Mommy. So-wee." I ask her, "For what, Kylee?", and she tries to tell me what she thinks she's sorry for ("So-wee I poking your eye, mommy", or "So-wee I broken your book, mommy"). Half the time, she doesn't even get it, but at least she's learning!
