Kylee's "Nearly-Three" Photos

We haven't taken Kylee to get her pictures taken since she was 18 months old, so a few months ago I decided we should go again. I waited and waited until I had a 50% off coupon AND Kylee didn't have a rash on her chin (which she usually does, because she drools so much). Finally, this week both of those things happened, so I took her to get photos. I might be kind of biased, but I think they turned out really cute. I always have a hard time picking which ones I want.

This one turned out to be one of my favorites.

This is one of my favorites too. I brought some of Kylee's books, since reading is what she loves best, and I thought the photographer did a really good job.

This an example they made of Christmas cards we could send out. I've never sent out Christmas cards, but this one is cute enough that I'm actually considering doing some next year.

I really like this one too, but Andy doesn't prefer "poses".

Gingerbread House

This year my office started our first annual "AFS Gingerbread Festival". We let team members and their family and friends build gingerbread houses, and then we auctioned them off at our Vendor Christmas Party last Friday, and put the money in our company charity fund. The person who won this one in the auction didn't really have a place for it, so she let me take it home for Kylee. It's so fancy! The pictures don't really do it justice, you have to see it in real life. Even Andy liked it. We put it on top of our tv in our family room so that our space would be more festive. We owe a big thank you to the person who gave us this, as well as those others who have done so much for us...you know who you are!!

Chasing the Gingerbread Man

The other day Kylee decided to "chase" the gingerbread man (she has that book), so she got on her trusty steed (a horse that belongs to my mom's husband Bruce), and galloped her little heart out. I don't think she ended up catching him, but she sure tried hard!!

Christmas Tree

Yesterday Kylee and I decorated our Christmas tree, and she used her stool to help hang the ornaments. She thought it was a lot of fun, and she is excited for Christmas. We made a Christmas chain a week or so ago so that she could tear off links before she goes to bed, and it's getting short!

Sledding

A couple of weeks ago we finally got our first snow. We came out on Sunday morning to go to church and there was this little bit of snow on the ground. Kylee's been waiting and waiting for snow so that she could go sledding, so when we got home from church I took her out in my mom's backyard to sled down the hill. I tried it standing up, so of course she had to try too. She was actually pretty good at it the first time or two, but then she fell down and didn't want to try anymore!
I don't know where she learned to eat snow...but she kept doing it.
