Winter??

Kylee's newest thing is that she wants to lick everything. She licks her clothes, her blankets, her toys...basically anything that she can get near her mouth.
This is her trying to devour Mr. Bear. (Yet another original name for a toy!) It's a good thing he is washable, because his whole face and both arms are crispy from all the licking she's done.
Kylee was so upset about the snow outside yesterday and today because I made her wear her winter woolies. So she insisted that we go shopping...
For a new swimsuit! Now she's just waiting for grandma to hurry up and get an indoor pool (either grandma will be fine) so that she can go swimming.
Anyway, I actually got her a 6-12 month one so she'll be ready for Moab in June & July, but daddy wanted her to try it on today since it was new. She feels a little embarrassed that her baby thighs are showing, so please refrain from saying anything about them to her!

Spring is Finally Here!!

So in celebration of Kylee's 10 week birthday, and the first day of Spring, she convinced me to let her wear shorts. Andy calls them her "gangster pants" though, because they are WAY too big for her. She may grow into them by the time summer gets here. I made her a belt out of a pink ribbon I had.
The second picture is her new friend "Blue". I got him for her for easter. He plays her classical music and "soothing ocean sounds."

Peacefully Sleeping?...Apparently NOT!!

If you think Kylee looks like she is sound asleep in this picture, you are as wrong as I was! The following story is not a dramatization. It is true, and took place at 10:26 pm on March 20, 2008.

The scene is set as Andy comes trudging up the stairs, stomping and pouting.

Terra: "What's wrong?"

Andy: "I had to come upstairs before the news was over."

Terra: "Why?"

Andy (totally moping): "Someone pushed the channel button on the t.v. remote again. It ruined the signal."

Terra (sarcastically): "Well, seeing as how you were the only one down there, who could it have possibly been?"

Andy: "It was Kylee. She jumped out of her crib, ran downstairs, and pushed the button, because she knew it would wreck it. Then she ran back up and pretended to be sleeping so we wouldn't know."

Now I don't know about you all, but I've decided that I must have one pretty darn talented baby girl!!

Nine Weeks Old

Kylee got her two month shots this week, and she was so good! She only cried for about 30 seconds, and then slept all afternoon.
