I'm Not Gonna Lie....

OUR JACK-O-LATERNS ROCK!!!
...and yes, these are real pumpkins, that we really carved ourselves. We're awesome, we know. Don't believe it? Come by our house on Halloween night! They'll be out on our front porch!! We may even make another one, just because we've discovered it's pretty fun!

Kylee really wanted a "Mel-Mo" pumpkin.

I wanted Andy to dress up as the Grinch for Halloween, since Kylee is Cindy Lou Who, but he refuses. So instead, we made a grinch pumpkin!!

Child Labor Laws

Do child labor laws apply inside your house?

And does it count if your kid drags a kitchen chair 10 feet across the room so that she can wash the dishes...when nobody else was even near the kitchen, and didn't make her do it?

And what about if you try to help and she says, " 'way, Daddy...'way, Mommy", so that she can ring out the rags all by herself?

We've said it before, and we'll say it again. Our kid is weird!

Playing in the Leaves

Yesterday I took Kylee out to play in the leaves in our yard. She thought it was super funny when I pushed her in. She would stand up, back towards the pile with her bum and say, "Mommy, my 'gain push!" Then I would push her, and she would laugh her head off, then do it again.

Here she is again after I made the pile deep and pushed her in.

Don't ask me what she is doing here. Talking to the tree? The kid is crazy!

Here she is attempting to gracefully dive into the leaves.

I pushed her in, then buried her. She didn't think that was so funny.

After she was done jumping into the leaves, she made me go into the the "gerge" to get the "boom" so she could "seep" the "weaves". I don't know why she likes chores so much!

Silly Kylee

Is this even comfortable? Sometimes Kylee gets this odd idea in her head that she needs to take books in her crib at night. I'm not sure if she wakes up in the night and gets bored, so she's just planning ahead...or if she's preparing for morning so as to let Andy sleep in a bit, or what. So tonight she insisted on a big stack. Not just 3 or 4 books, but more like 6 or 7. Later, when I went to look at her, this is what I found. I guess she fell asleep looking at her princess book. What's interesting is that she doesn't have a light in there. Not even a nite-lite. So I'm not sure how she can even SEE her books. Silly kid!

Kylee and the Farting Cup

Yep, she's Andy's kid alright. We were eating dinner, and somehow she discovered she could make farting sounds with a cup. She thought it was SOOOO funny! (I have to admit...we thought it was, too).
