Temple Square

On Wednesday night Andy and I took Kylee to temple square to see the lights. Con and Sug and Pat and Kacey and their kids came too. It was really fun, even though there are not nearly as many lights as there used to be when we were kids.

Kylee liked Sugi a lot. She became his best friend not long after he and Connie arrived in town.

Here's our family! Andy actually smiled, which was a miracle.

Take 2 - ABC's

It's hard to take a video of Kylee doing anything, because she sees the camera and says "Cheese". So here's take 2 of her singing her ABC's.

For the last couple of weeks, we've been working with Kylee on her ABC's. For a long time, she would sing "A, E, E, E, E, F, G, H.....L,L,L,L,P,Q,R...T,U,V,bubble-U,...Y...Y,Z" and then stop. She just didn't seem to get that there were other letters. No matter how many times I repeated it...no progress. Then, we discovered another Elmo YouTube video. Who says technology is bad? It's the most annoying YouTube movie EVER, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML8IL77gQ3k), and it drives me insane, but within about two weeks of watching it (it's her new favorite)...look what's been accomplished!!

Festival of Trees

Last week my mom and her new husband Bruce and couple of my sisters took Kylee and went to the Festival of Trees. When I got off work, Andy and I went to pick her up, and I convinced him to go in and look for a little while. He HATES going there, because people walk so slow and it takes forever. However, this year we walked up and down the middle of all the rows, and finished really fast. Then Kylee and I went to watch the little dancer kids while Andy wandered off to look at more stuff. Next thing I knew, he had picked out a lovely wreath for us to purchase. Since all the sad baby pictures and stories make me cry, and I know that 100% of the proceeds go to Primary Children's, I agreed. Here it is, in its new place of honor on our wall at home!! It also has white Christmas lights, but I couldn't get a good picture with them plugged in.

Gingerbread House

I got a gingerbread house from the gingerbread festival this year (charity event at Thanksgiving Point), and Kylee and her cousin Branson are obsessed with it. I've told them they are not allowed to touch -- just look. They drag our barstools over there and just stare at it on the counter. It's pretty funny! Who knew such a tiny little house could be so entertaining?
